How Can You Give?

The many ways you can give to our Community Fund that are not restricted to monetary gifts alone. We can also accept properties, securities, IRA retirement fund contributions, material possessions, and more. What Type of Funds Are Available?

There are so many ways to give to The Community Foundation of Jackson County. These funds include: unrestricted endowments, field of interest funds, select organization funds, scholarship funds, annuities, and many, many more. The best part about investing with us is the list of various funds can keep growing with each of our continued successes.

Taxable Information:

One of the best parts about giving back to an organization like The Community Foundation of Jackson County is the tax benefits. Generally, when someone leaves their estate and their wealth behind when they pass on, up to 85% of it can go to the IRS through estate and income taxes. However, all donations to charity are fully tax deductible for donors and protected to the fullest extent of the law.

By consulting with lawyers, accountants and/or financial advisors, you can divert much of the asset base that would have gone to the IRS at the time of your death to philanthropic causes like ours. By taking advantage now of a number of techniques, this can be accomplished with little negative impact on heirs and with a positive impact for donors from reduced income tax during your lifetime.
